Experience
I have had a partiality towards mathematics from a young age. I have no adversity to understanding mathematics and feel confident about it! Challenging, new math ideas are enjoyable to me, both to learn and to teach to others. Over the years, several peers have sought me out for help.My education has given me great value in the teaching process. A good instructor, in my opinion, should possess three things: passion, patience, and the ability to make the topics contagious to their students. "Everything should be made as simple as possible, but not simpler." My favorite Albert Einstein quote is the perfect way to sum up my philosophy of teaching. The subjects that I tutor in: Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1-4, Geometry, Trigonometry, Precalculus, Calculus 1-3, Multivariable Calculus, Statistics, Elementary Math, Middle School Math, and Spanish 1-4.After graduation from Cinco Ranch High School in June 2010, I attended Edward E. Whitacre, Jr. College of Engineering at Texas Tech University, where I received my bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. I chose Mechanical Engineering because it satisfied my desire to be tested and afforded me the opportunity to participate in my first internship as a Facilities Mechanical Intern at CH2M Hill. During my internship, I learned that I am a natural leader and work great with others.Originally from Panama City, Panama, I am bilingual and actively learning Mandarin Chinese. I consider "people" a hobby, as I have acquired a great appreciation of different cultures. Appreciating nature, playing guitar, and soccer are some of my other hobbies.
